Surrendering Your Pet

Although our main focus is to rescue animals that are in desperate situations such as strays, over crowded shelters, and euthanasia lists, we understand that there are times where it is in the best interest of the pet to be rehomed. When we have the available resources and are able, we can help in these situations.

Before surrendering your pet you should consider the following options: consulting with family to see if if someone can take your pet temporarily or permanently, consulting with a force free trainer (some offer free consults), temporarily boarding your pet until you are able to bring them home.

In order to surrender your pet:

1) Dogs must be dog friendly, or able to have dog friends as most of our foster homes have other dogs in their home. *For small dogs under 20lbs we may be able to accommodate*

2) You must thoroughly complete the below form in detail.

3) You must be willing to pay a surrender fee of $150 to help cover the costs associated with taking in your pet.

4) Once the surrender form is completed, one of our volunteers will be in touch with you via email within 2 business days. We may or may not be able to intake your pet.
